Domestic Violence Task Force Clergy Training

Wow, what a day. We've had a very full day of training, worship and fellowship. All the clergy in the Holston Conference gathered in Kingsport to learn more about the painful topic of domestic violence.

The Bishop spoke and preached, Gayle and Deban Yeomans presented, I presented, Karla Kurtz led worship, Robin Kimbrough from the State DV Coalition also presented. It was a good day.

My part went well. I told about having to deal with a case of DV within a church I previously served and why we need the tools and training the Task Force provides.

I'm proud to be a United Methodist. We're dealing with an issue that many people would rather ignore.
